Declan Sinnott is an Irish musician and record producer.
A native of Wexford town Declan Sinnott has been a highly respected and influential mainstay of the Irish music industry for almost fifty years. Sinnott was a founding member of Horslips before joining Donal Lunny and Christy Moore in the seminal group Moving Hearts.
Over the years Sinnott devoted much of his time to being a highly respected and talented producer. He was for 13 years producer for Mary Black, producing six albums for her. He has also forged a close relationship with Christy Moore both as a producer of Moore's work and a guitarist in his recorded and live music.
He recorded primarily original songs with Owen O'Brien, I Love the Noise It Makes, released on 7 September 2012 in Ireland, and on 10 and 11 September in the UK and US respectively. The first single was Sunshine In.
This was followed up in 2015 with the album, Window On The World.
In 2012 Sinnott decided to venture onto front stage as The Music Journal said; “ in recent years Sinnott has found his own voice and grown into the whole idea of stepping up to the mark in his own right”. His debut solo album; “ Shape I’m In”, was critically received, the title says Sinnott coming from a John Lennon quote.
