Improv Gym: Listen to Yourself! with Michael Romero

Introducing our newest workshop series: Improv Gym! 

Improv Gym will bring well-curated workshops to you from up-and-coming improv instructors in the San Diego community. Cornerstone works with each instructor on their syllabus, description, and workshop focus and then shares feedback after the workshop so the instructor can get better!

Our first Improv Gym is Listen to Yourself! with Michael Romero!

Take a breath and focus on what's going on in your head, and what you are saying. Trust that they are enough to help you and your partner drive the scene forward. In this workshop, we will slow it down just a tiny bit to make sure we are listening to the most important person of all: yourself!

BIO: Michael is San Diego born and raised. He started improv in January 2015 through Finest City Improv. He has also taken courses through Sidestage Improv, and workshops in LA, through Camp Improv Utopia, and through Cornerstone itself. His current indie teams are Belle Rêve, Sinister MO, My Bloody Valentine, and Rug of Love. He loves honest scenes full of heart and tension. He also likes character work; exploring what that character is about and what that character brings to that world.
