🎃 Cornish Lavender Spooky Autumn Half Term 🎃

After an amazing summer of arts, crafts and nature activities, we’re keeping the fun going this October Half Term!

Come and explore Cornish Lavender’s FREE Spooky Fairy Trail, where the woodland has had a seriously spooky makeover! 👻🕷️🦇

Follow the trail through the autumn woodland and discover bats, spiders, witches’ brooms, ghosts, skeletons and other spooky surprises hiding amongst the trees and fairy houses. It’s spooky enough to be exciting, but still designed with families in mind.

And if you’d like to enhance the experience, our Oct Half Term Activity Programme is back!

From 17 October – 1 November, we have something different every day:

🌿 Nature Mondays and Thursdays 🍂
🎨 Art Tuesdays and Saturdays 🎨
🧵 Crafty Wednesdays and Sundays 🧶
🔥 Firepit Fridays 🔥

Activities are £5 per participant including materials, with places limited to 8 per hour, and additional spooky-themed face painting available daily for £4.

Spaces for the activities are limited, so pre-booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. You can simply enjoy the FREE spooky Fairy Trail by booking parking without an activity, but booking ahead guarantees your place on the sessions you'd like to join.

☕ Our café will also be open, with a revamped menu of your favourites items, including kids picnic boxes and warming soup and cheese scones, and plenty of autumn treats to enjoy. Please note our NO PICNICS policy.

INFORMATION TO NOTE

We ask our guests to PRE-BOOK car parking (only book number of cars not number of people in the car) to guarantee a space, or risk being turned away.  The nominal £2 parking charge allows a 2 hour parking slot, and funds the fairy tokens, and  upkeep of the car park - guests are also invited to pay a donation as no entry fee is charged. Once you book your car parking with date and time, you'll then be able to select the activity as an add-on.

Please also pre-book your activities to guarantee a space and sufficient crafting resources.

We are delighted when our visitors dress up, play in the mud kitchen, swings or woodland, but we remind parents that they are responsible for the safety of children and animals (dogs on a lead) at all times.

The Fairies are also delighted when visitors bring gifts for the fairies or other visitors. There is a tooth fairy house in the Secret Garden, There is a Dummy or Pacifier tree at the front reception area to leave for the fairies which will be repurposed in the future.

However, in order to protect the wildlife, please do not leave sweets in the fairy houses (I have found a lolly covered in ants - that later disappeared - eeewww), plus a toddler who is Dairy Free and couldn't eat the chocolate coins and chocolate eggs that were found. Some visitors have dietary allergens, plus wildlife can be affected or vermin attracted which is not good for the farm eco-system.

We also discourage single use plastic, but our sustainability policy encourages re-using or recycling small toys, especially wooden ones, knitted or crochet items, painted or coloured stones, are all highly suitable items.

Thank you for your understanding.

Please note the following:

  • We ask you to respect our no picnic policy - our cafe is open and caters for adults and children with healthy lunch and snack options alongside our signature Lavender Cream Teas and homemade cakes, hot and cold soft drinks.
  • The parking slot END time is imperative, regardless of your arrival time - as parking is limited.
  • The car park is small and there is a steep drive entrance - if you have a choice - please do not bring vans on site,
  • At busy times, we may have to turn guests away until there is space to park safely, with priority given to those who have pre-booked parking.
  • As a private venue, there are dates that we will be closed to general public. These dates are listed below with reminders on Social Media
  • Please do not walk on the lavender matting, or through the lavender plants, or allow your children or pets to do so; the lavender is harvested to become our essential oil crop, that in turns makes our products, the primary purpose of our farm.  Photos are permitted in the designated photo area, and children are welcome to play in the lavender maze on the far side of the field.

Thank you for your understanding.
