Winter Magic at Cornish Lavender

✨ WINTER MAGIC AT CORNISH LAVENDER ✨

A Winter Solstice Celebration • 19 & 20 December 2026

As the year draws to a close, the woodland falls quiet, the nights grow longer and the natural world prepares to rest.

Join us at Cornish Lavender for a very special Winter Magic Weekend, inspired by the Winter Solstice, woodland folklore and the return of the light.

Step into our winter woodland and discover a world of forest spirits, magical creatures and ancient-inspired stories. Meet the mysterious Holly King, keeper of the dark half of the year, and hear how, at the Winter Solstice, the Oak King returns to reclaim the light as the days slowly begin to lengthen again.

Look out for woodland guardians, creatures of the forest and perhaps even Mother Earth and Father Winter along the way...

🔥 Gather around the fire
🌲 Explore the winter woodland
✨ Follow the magical trail

The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere — but from that point onwards, the light begins its gradual return.

This isn't about tinsel and shopping lists. It's about winter, nature, fire, folklore and the magic of being together outdoors.

So wrap up warm, pull on your boots, hats and gloves and come and celebrate the turning of the year on the Lavender Fairy Trail.
