An evening with Cornwall Community Foundation – Shaping a better future for all in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

We would like to invite you to join us online for an ‘Evening with Cornwall Community Foundation’ at 6.30pm on Thursday 12th June.

Cornwall Community Foundation is committed to driving positive change. Since 2003 we have awarded more than £20 million in small grants to charitable groups making a positive impact; helping to overcome the challenges of disadvantage, exclusion, and poverty in our county.

However, the need for this work has never been higher. Every 3 years in collaboration with the University of Exeter, we publish our ‘Vital Signs Report’ which collates research documents, surveys with groups, and community consultations to highlight what life is really like for many living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Join our CEO Tamas Haydu for a preview into the main findings from the latest report - which will be published shortly - around growing inequality, rural isolation, climate change and the lack of affordable housing, and hear what we are doing to try to address some of these inequalities through our current Housing Action Appeal.

We will be joined by Henry Meacock, CEO of St. Petrocs, and Jacqui White MBE, Foodbank Project Manager/Founder of Wadebridge Foodbank and Simon Ryan, General manager of the Three Seas, charities the CCF have supported for many years. Henry and Jacqui will join us to discuss challenges front line charities are facing, and how vital funding from CCF and other organisations is to continue their work and meet the increasing needs. Simon will go on to explain what long term solutions there are to the Housing Crisis in Cornwall which the Appeal is designed to support with further insight also from Sophie Griffiths, Programmes Director at CCF.

This event is for everyone –supporters, funders, charities and CICs wanting to hear about our ambitious plans to help reach even more individuals and communities - or those simply wanting to learn more about Cornwall Community Foundation.

We would be delighted if you can join us and please do spread the word to anyone you think might be interested in joining the call virtually!
