Bout Against Cancer 2025

Join us in sunny Penzance for the return of Bout Against Cancer, raising money this year for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity - supporting The Cove Macmillan Support Centre, Heart of Headland Boxes, and the Headland Unit

Bout Against Cancer began in 2013 and has been hosted across Wales & the South-West. The event became even more important to our team when Cornwall and Plymouth lost one of their core coaches to skin cancer at the young age of 35. Since then it has been one of the key events of our Derby calendar and we’re thrilled to be hosting again! Join us for an epic day of Roller Derby, whether you want to play some great games, volunteer, lend a hand, or simply cheer from the sidelines! Together, we’ll support incredible charities and celebrate our amazing Derby community

The Games
-  Inter/Advanced (WFTDA) : Suitable for anyone with 10+ games experience who plays under the WFTDA ruleset
-  Rookie and Returning Level (OTA) : Suitable for players with 0-10 games experience, who have been signed off to scrim by their league. Skaters returning from a long break and looking to build up confidence are also welcome to play in this game, providing they are happy they can play at a safe and suitable level
-  Inter/Advanced (OTA) : Suitable for any player with 10+ games experience

** Please note that only those who are currently affiliated with a league and signed off as 'safe to scrim' by that league will be eligible for skater tickets ** Officiating : Refs and NSOs please sign up on TOAST!

Timings listed are approximate first whistle times - skaters will be expected to be at the venue earlier for check-ins, on-skate warm ups etc.
