Cornwall Women's Fund
is hosting our annual event to celebrate International Women's Day!

  • Date & Time: Thursday 7th March, 6pm
  • Location: Take Point Training Offices, Falmouth

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #InspireInclusion.

Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to drive gender parity. IWD belongs to everyone, everywhere. Inclusion means all IWD action is valid.

The focus of our 2024 grant funding is women and girls' mental health so we will be inviting guests to join our panel who will not only Inspire Inclusion, but will discuss what they and you can do to support your own, your staff, beneficiaries, friends and families mental health. There will also be plenty of opportunity to network and chat!

Our Panel Discussion will include:

  • Kirstie Edwards, Mayor of Falmouth
  • Mairi McLean, Chairwoman at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Matthew Kenworthy-Gomes is the CEO of Cornwall Pride, Trustee of Black Voices Cornwall and an Inclusion Activist
  • Fliss Loxley, MD of Pearl Exchange

Plus, we are delighted to be joinmed by a number of Mental Health organisations across Cornwall will have stands and literature to take away.

And you’ll receive some top tips of how to improve your own Mental Health and support others with some takeaway resources.

You can read more about Cornwall Women's Fund, our purpose and funding strategy via our amazing new-look website. You can also read case studies from groups that have previously benefitted from our funding.

Please share this with friends and colleagues and we encourage you to subscribe for updates or to support us with a regular, or one off donation by becoming a member. We can't do what we do without the generosity of our members, so please do get in touch to find out more.

We will be providing free soft drinks and nibbles at the event and would be grateful if you could sign up via this page so we have confirmation of numbers. (We would welcome donations which will go directly into our grant funding pot for 2024 - options via the booking system).
