Our Mission

We are dedicated to investing in the women and girls of Cornwall. Working together our members give as a collective, they INVEST their time, skills and money in this fund to IMPROVE lives, INSPIRE hope and nurture ambition.

We were founded in 2019 when Amanda Stratford, inspired by collective philanthropy and community giving in other parts of the world, asked friends to join her in setting up this fund. Five founding members launched the fund in January 2020. Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, and signing up 25 members in the first few weeks, we opened our first grant round for applications in February 2020.

The grant funding available is grown through our members regular donations and each year we focus on a theme for our annual grant giving. The theme is selected from research evidencing need and is chosen by members.

We are always looking to welcome new members individuals, local businesses and organisations and welcome one off gifts to boost the money available for grant making.
