Description
International Women's Day (IWD) Event
On 8th March 2025, Cornwall's Womens Fund (CWF) will be celebrating the women and girls of Cornwall, their creativity, inspiration and energy. We would love you to come along and join us. There will be coffee and sweet things when you arrive, time to mingle with friends old and new, hear from some fascinating speakers and learn about how the grants we make are making a difference to women's lives.
This year’s IWD theme is #AccelerateAction 🚀
Did you know, at the current rate of progress, achieving full gender parity could take until 2158—five generations from now (World Economic Forum)?
This theme highlights the urgent need for swift, decisive action to break down barriers and biases holding women back in personal and professional spaces.
Let’s come together to inspire change, spark conversations, and drive momentum for a more equitable world.
Engage with our panel of creative west country women from the worlds of fashion, music and literature - find out how they made their dreams happen.

- international marketing director and novelist Geneveive Flintham - author and so much more ... find out here
Hear from our members how collaborative giving in not only helping our communities but is rewarding for them too. Be inspired by displays from the projects and charities we fund, supporting women and girls across Cornwall.
This is a FREE opportunity to hear more about the needs of women and girls across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, meet some of the fabulous projects and charities that are working to support them and learn about the difference CWF members are making. (please book a ticket for catering reasons)
You are very welcome to support the Cornwall Women's Fund by making a one-off donation when you order your ticket, or alternatively, we would love you to sign up as a monthly or annual member via this link with the Cornwall Community Foundation who administer the fund on our behalf.
This venue has stairs to enter the building, you have any accessibility requirements or any queries, please do email admin@cornwallwomensfund.co.uk in advance so we can support you.
