End of Summer Sunset Paddle 🌅🐉

Soak up one of the final evenings of summer with a sunset paddle on beautiful Kempenfelt Bay!

We’ll head out on the dragon boat for a relaxed paddle as the sun sets over Barrie. No dragon boating experience is needed — just come ready to paddle, meet some great people and enjoy an evening on the water.

All equipment is provided, including paddles and PFDs (life jackets), although you’re welcome to bring your own PFD or paddle if you prefer.

What to Bring:
Comfortable clothing for the weather, water, and footwear you don’t mind getting a little accidental splash. A light sweater or jacket is recommended as evenings can cool down quickly on the water.

Bayfield Basin Transient Marina

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can get everyone fitted with equipment and ready to hit the water.

Parking:
Free parking is available across the street in the municipal lots between Bayfield Street and the marina. Please note there is no parking on Simcoe Street. Parking is also available in the Heritage Park lot.

A map and final meeting details will be emailed to guests before the event.

Weather & Cancellation:
Dragon boating is weather dependent. If conditions are unsafe to paddle, cancellation will be communicated by email and your payment will be refunded, minus the small booking/processing fee.
