Inward: A Low Dose 5-MeO-DMT Sound Bath

For this unique sound bath, we are offering a low body-centred dose of 5-MeO-DMT.  You'll have the opportunity to surrender into an immersive live soundscape in a safe intentional community container.

This is a great setting to dip your toe in to experience the magic of 5-MeO for the first time, as well as a beautiful refresh for those who have experienced it before. Expect a variety of typical sound bath vibrations: bowls, drum, monochord, shaker, rainstick, tuning forks, koshi chimes.

The experience will be hosted in a beautiful Yurt outside Victoria, BC. Address provided upon registration.

Navigating Your Depth 🌊

The classic smoked 5-MeO-DMT experience has its place, but for this sound bath we are offering snuffed 5-MeO-DMT-HCl via handmade Arbutus wood snuffers. The onset of an intranasal dose is closer to 10 minutes rather than 10 seconds, allowing for a gentler, subtler, more navigable experience.

We structure this ceremony with an initial small dose, followed by two optional booster rounds. You have agency at each step of the journey. Stick to a minimal dose and let the sound wash over you, or safely navigate a little further if you feel called to go deeper. You can expect to be back to baseline within about an hour. All medicine is optional.

About 5-MeO-DMT ✨

5-MeO-DMT, aka the God Molecule, is known to produce a uniquely powerful mystical experience unlike any other psychedelic. Current clinical trials show promising results for conditions including anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD.

• Low Doses: You may experience a subtle tingling, or energy flowing throughout the body. Some experience a major release of muscle/joint tension. It can also feel introspective, fostering emotional release or insight without being overwhelming. Some describe this as a ‘soft’ mystical experience, with a sense of unity or spiritual awareness that feels grounding rather than disorienting.
• High Doses: Typically produce a complete dissolution of ego, leading to a profound mystical experience characterized by a sense of unity with the universe or a "whiteout" of perceptual content. Some describe this as dissolving everything except for awareness itself, a glimpse of non-dual consciousness where subject and object are no longer separate. As the ego dissolves, some participants experience an intense somatic release, allowing the body to physically process and discharge stored emotional energy. Many are left feeling reborn.

We will be working with low doses of pure lab tested synthetic 5-MeO rather than Bufo. Bufo is not suitable for snuffing since the toad secretion contains other toxic compounds that are only broken down by heat when smoking.

Safety Considerations ⛑️

Some substances can have dangerous interactions with 5-MeO-DMT. Lithium, 5-HTP, Tramadol, MAOIs (selegiline, phenelzine), the antibiotic linezolid, and harmala (Syrian rue) should all be avoided. Other antidepressants such as SSRIs, SNRIs, or Wellbutrin are not contraindicated for safety, though they may have a moderating impact on your experience.

Additional contraindications include cardiovascular conditions, serious mental health history (psychosis, schizophrenia, personality disorder, bipolar I), and pregnancy.

Brendon offers 1:1 personalized 5-MeO-DMT ceremonies through Cosmic Otter Offerings, based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He completed Toad School, a workshop on 5-MeO-DMT facilitation in 2022. Since then he has been facilitating weekend 5-MeO-DMT group retreats with Earthlings on an idyllic island near Vancouver.

Brendon led the volunteer team that launched the first season of the MAPS Canada podcast in 2020–2021. He has sat and served at Vipassana meditation centres and is endlessly fascinated with the intersections of psychology, sound, art, spirituality, consciousness, and culture that psychedelics encompass.

Amy Indigo is a Sound Healer whose passion for sound and energy work continues to deepen through her own healing journey. Sound has become an integral part of her life, both as a tool for transformation and a way to inspire others on their path.

She has also trained in Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki, and is continually expanding her ability to channel light and hold grounded, heart-centred spaces for others. Amy loves creating ceremony and connection, where healing, presence, and community come alive.
