Council for Economic Growth

The Council for Economic Growth is a leading free enterprise advocacy group in Michigan. Our diverse and bipartisan membership consists of some of the region’s most prominent and successful business owners, professionals, and elected leaders who are connected by their shared motivation to see free enterprise thrive and Michigan prosper.

We gather regularly to educate ourselves with events featuring keynote speakers, private receptions, and high-level networking. Our member services are geared towards fostering a more organized, informed, and politically-aware business and civic community.

We Are Optimistic: We believe in the potential of the individual to achieve the American dream through ingenuity, persistence, and vision.

Membership: We do not seek a transactional relationship ticket-selling model. Instead, we believe that a membership based model better matches our goals of fostering a more organized, informed, and politically-aware business and civic community.

Our Vision: Our vision is one of a Michigan wherein taxes are low, government is accountable, regulations are reasonable, and business is encouraged. We work collaboratively with our members to organize creative events, forums, and policy projects that best match the need to defend the Free Enterprise System.

FAQs

How many people attend the Quarterly Events?

Our events are intentionally small. We limit the attendees to ensure our members have access and a meaningful experience.

How long do the events run?

60 -90 minutes. We run a very punctual meeting out of respect for our members’ schedules.

Is CEG a partisan organization?

No. Our diverse and bipartisan membership consists of some of the region’s most prominent and successful business owners, professionals, and elected leaders who are connected by their shared motivation to see free enterprise thrive and Michigan prosper.

Why does CEG exist?

Nearly 50% of Americans believe that socialism is good. That’s a scary statistic if you believe in the benefits of the market economy. We believe in the potential of the individual to achieve the American dream through ingenuity, persistence, and vision. Unfortunately, too few organizations are willing to speak so plainly.

Why Membership?

Instead, we believe that a membership based model better matches our goals of fostering a more organized, informed, and politically-aware business and civic community. We do not seek a transactional relationship ticket selling model.
