25th Anniversary Programme: Sayan Chanda Open Studio
25th Anniversary Programme: Sayan Chanda Open Studio
Need help?
Join us for a special Open Studio event with London-based artist Sayan Chanda, part of our Friday Event Series celebrating Cove Park’s 25th Anniversary.
This is a unique chance to meet Sayan and see his work in progress. His striking practice reinterprets votive objects, folk divinities, and mythic stories as hybrid, ambiguous forms, framed through themes of identity, gender perception, and postcolonial thought. Using fibre and clay, and techniques such as weaving, stitching, quilting, dyeing, and hand-building, Sayan creates breathtaking work that exists in a speculative landscape untethered from place, culture, and time.
This event is free, but spaces are limited. Please reserve your place via our Ticket Tailor page.
For further details about the Open Studio or directions to Cove Park, please get in touch with Senior Producer Alex Marrs.

Support
Cove Park is a charity and most of our funding for our residencies and engagement programming is paid by trusts, foundations and individual donors. Creative Scotland currently funds just 25% of our annual costs and individual philanthropy is essential to sustain our work.
Through our Engagement programme, we provide an inspiring environment for community and collaboration through creative and cultural workshops, events, and activities. Our programming has focused on rural isolation, geographic disadvantage, the impact of climate change upon our region, the preservation of Scotland’s rainforests, marine pollution, and the conservation of our natural heritage.
Community & Collaboration shares Cove Park’s unique resources – its outstanding 50-acre rural site and award-winning facilities – with the aim of enriching the cultural life of our region, protecting our local environment, transforming lives, and strengthening communities.
If you would like to help underwrite the costs required to keep our community engagement events free and open, you can join our Argyll Associates programme or give a donation when booking.
