As part of our 25th anniversary programme of special events, we are taking part in this year's Doors Open Day programme. Visitors are welcome from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 20 September and Sunday 21 September for tours of Cove Park and refreshments. Visitors are also invited to take part in two special events during the Doors Open Day weekend:

On Saturday 20 September, join fine art photographer and former resident Demelza Kingston for drop in photography workshops, from 1.30 - 3.30pm, for people of all ages drawing upon her experience of plant-based photography. This workshop forms part of our series of events supporting local ambitions to establish a biodiversity corridor from Cardross to Cove.

On Sunday 21 September, from 2-3.30pm, we will host an in-conversation event with architect Jude Barber and writer Louise Welsh. Both former Cove Park residents, Jude and Louise are the researchers and presenters of the podcast Who Owns the Clyde? Join us to hear about this project and their work as co-directors of The Empire Cafe. Capacity for the event with Jude Barber and Louise Welsh is limited - please reserve a place for each person attending.

Both events are free, everyone is welcome, and refreshments will be provided.

If you have questions about workshop accessibility, please get in touch with Emma Henderson (Curator of Engagement).

Support

Cove Park is a charity and most of our funding for our residencies and engagement workshops is paid by trusts, foundations and individual donors. Creative Scotland currently funds just 29% of our annual costs and individual philanthropy is essential to sustain our work.

Our Saturday Studio programme provides an inspiring environment for self-expression through creative education. Without this engagement initiative, young people in our rural community would not have access to free and consistent creative activity. If you would like to help underwrite the costs required to keep our engagement workshops free and open, you can join our Friends of Cove Park programme or make a donation when booking.
