Saturday Studio - Fabricating Dreams
Performance maker Florence Logan warmly invites you to move, make, dream and play.
Using movement, video, and a mix of everyday objects we'll turn our dreams into “wonky realities.” whether that be big ambitions, like becoming a hairdresser or climbing all the Munros or completely fantastical ideas like a snail leaving rainbow trails across the sky.
Through simple exercises and group activities, we’ll explore imagination, absurdity and storytelling. Together, we’ll create short, playful scenes or vignettes that bring our ideas to life and even imagine the dreams of unexpected things, from pebbles to patches of moss to the moon.
We’ll start with an image-led movement warm-up, followed by games that reimagine everyday objects and challenge us to attempt the impossible... then we’ll start making.
For children and families:
Please bring a favourite toy or object to use as inspiration for one of the activities! It will not leave your hands, we promise!
Practical info:

Support
Cove Park is a charity and most of our funding for our residencies and engagement workshops is paid by trusts, foundations and individual donors. Creative Scotland currently funds just 29% of our annual costs and individual philanthropy is essential to sustain our work.
Our Saturday Studio programme provides an inspiring environment for self-expression through creative education. Without this engagement initiative, young people in our rural community would not have access to free and consistent creative activity. If you would like to help underwrite the costs required to keep our engagement workshops free and open, you can join our Friends of Cove Park programme or make a donation when booking.
