About Collective Home
Collective Home: Community, Creativity & Action in Argyll is one of the 23 Scotland-wide projects awarded funding through Culture Collective in 2026-2027.Funded by the Scottish Government, Culture Collective places creativity at the heart of community development, supporting artists and organisations to work directly with communities, respond to local priorities, strengthen local identity and create paid opportunities for creative practitioners.Focussed upon the concept of home and what this means now for communities in Argyll, our project reflects the distinct character and composition of our rural and coastal region. Through sustained projects devised collaboratively by the creative practitioners we support and the participating communities, we will explore what home means for young people in Argyll, for those facing the challenges of the climate crisis, and for those with lived experience of displacement and settling in this region. Developed in partnership with local organisations, our work will harness the power of creativity and collective action to build community, promote cultural exchange, and enhance lives.

About Cove Park 

Cove Park is an international residency based on an outstanding 50-acre rural site in Argyll on Scotland’s west coast. Our programme of residencies, commissions, and collaborative projects respond to and promote the diversity of contemporary artistic practice. We support artists, creative practitioners, and researchers to develop and produce ambitious, innovative, and ground-breaking new work for audiences and participants across Scotland and beyond. Cove Park collaborates with artists, community groups, schools, youth programmes, and other partners to co-create residencies, commissions, projects, and events. By working together, our aim is to develop strategies for change and alternative approaches to the urgent problems facing our community. To date this work has focused on rural isolation, geographic disadvantage, the impact of climate change upon our region, the preservation of Scotland’s rainforests, marine pollution, and the conservation of our natural heritage. Other current projects involve unpaid carers, those recovering from ill health, and artists with lived experience of displacement who are now based in Scotland.
