Compound-Dovetail Wooden Carrier with Andy Glenn
Fri Nov 21, 2025 9:00 AM - Sun Nov 23, 2025 5:00 PM EST
Lost Art Press, 41011
Description
Over three days, we'll build dovetailed wooden carriers (and possibly more). We will lay out and cut the compound-angle dovetails, assemble the carrier, then nail on the bottom. The cross hatching is carved onto the handle before we add it to the case. While the handles are already bent in preparation for class, we'll steam bend a few more in preparation for future carriers.
Materials (included in the fee) will be provided for three nesting carriers: small, medium and large. We'll make one together, then begin work on the others. During class, we'll fully complete one carrier and make progress towards the other two – so homework will complete the set (unless you are extremely fast ....)
This is a hand-tool focused class. Please bring sharp tools, plus we'll have a few tools to share as well (don't let a missing tool hold you back from joining!).
Experience is welcome though not necessary (though you should know how to sharpen edge tools). If you have any questions, email the instructor at: andy.d.glenn@gmail.com
The class fee is $775, due at registration. Cancellations will be accepted up until four weeks before the class for
a full refund. If cancellation occurs within four weeks prior to the
start of class, a refund will be issued only if the slot can be filled.)
