Discover the natural beauty and rich history of Cranham Woods on this guided visit, hosted by our Stroud Committee. This unique opportunity will take you through some of the most captivating spots in beech the woods including the neolithic West Tump long barrow, the stunning bluebells and the cricket-bat willow plantations. Guests will also have the chance to learn about the white crayfish as the owner and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust work to increase the population of this rare species into the Painswick Stream.
Beyond the woodland wonders, guests will have the chance to view the interior of Cranham Lodge, an award-winning, timber-framed, eco-home that showcases innovative sustainable features; from its borehole-fed ground source heat pump to its sedum roof.
The day will be concluded with tea and cake amongst the wonderful surroundings.
Important Information
Tickets for this special event are limited to just 12 places per slot, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
Please note that due to the natural terrain of this outdoor event, the ground can be uneven and boggy in some areas, making it unsuitable for those with certain accessibility needs. A tractor and trailer will be available however. Ticket refund policy: As a small charity, proceeds from our events go towards protecting and enhancing Gloucestershire’s beautiful countryside. Because of this, we’re unable to offer refunds.
