Join CPRE Oxfordshire for a guided walk followed by a light lunch at Wild Oakingham, just north of Stoke Row in South Oxfordshire.
The 80ha site, a former stud farm, is now part of the Rewilding Britain initiative. In the 4 years since managing the land for nature, the area has seen an explosion of food and habitat for birds and wildlife, resulting in greater abundance and increased biodiversity.
The tour will be led by site owner, Jane Ibrahim, and Alistair Driver, Director of Rewilding Britain and Senior Advisor to the Global Rewilding Alliance.
Agenda:
- 10.30am Arrivals
- 11am - 12.30 Guided tour of Wild Oakingham
- 12.30 - 1.30pm Picnic lunch on the lawn
There are some slight slopes and the ground may be uneven in places, so please bring sturdy shoes that are appropriate for wet or muddy conditions. Long trousers are advised due to thistles in places. No dogs or pets please.
Full details will be shared with attendees nearer the time.
