You're warmly invited to join us for CPRE Staffordshire’s 90th Annual General Meeting at the Staffordshire Showground.

As we celebrate this significant milestone, the day will offer a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our achievements, connect with fellow members and supporters, and enjoy a range of engaging activities. From our Countryside Photography Exhibition and AGM proceedings to a fascinating planning talk or guided countryside walk, the event promises something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you for a morning of conversation, countryside appreciation, and celebration of Staffordshire’s natural beauty.

Draft Day Agenda:

10:00-10:30 Countryside Photography Exhibition (tea and coffee available)

10:45-11:30 AGM with drinks and buffet-style food provided by Staffordshire Meats.

11:30-12:30 Activity 1 (Planning Workshop) and Activity 2 (Ecology Walk)

13:00 Draw to close

Countryside Photography Exhibition

Attendees are invited to enjoy tea and coffee while viewing a selection of the photographs submitted to our annual calendar competition. Entries will be judged by CPRE trustees.

Judges will award first, second and third place to the photographs that best capture the beauty of Staffordshire’s countryside. Winners will be announced at 12pm, following the AGM. Prizes include a complimentary 2027 calendar (available October 2026) and Farm Shop Vouchers.

AGM

Our AGM will take place at the Staffordshire Showground, with teas, coffees and buffet‑style refreshments available throughout.

At the close of the meeting, the CPRE Staffordshire Chair will offer a few words and formally announce the photography competition winners. Prizes will be presented on the day where possible or posted to winners unable to attend.

Are you concerned about planning proposals affecting your local community, countryside or Green Belt? Do you want to understand the planning process, learn how communities can effectively respond to major developments, and connect with others facing similar challenges? This informative and practical session brings together residents, community groups and planning experts to share knowledge, experience and support.

2. Countryside Walk

Join us for a guided Accessible Countryside Walk through the beautiful deer park adjacent to the Showground and discover some of Staffordshire's stunning countryside on the edge of town.

Part of both CPRE's national Love Your Countryside campaign and our popular Accessibility Walk Series; this event is designed to be welcoming for people of all ages and abilities. The route and pace will focus on ensuring everyone can enjoy the experience, connect with nature and appreciate the local landscape.
