Description
The Centre for Policy Studies is delighted to host Cabinet Office minister, Alex Burghart MP, and Head of AI for Public Services at The Alan Turing Institute, Dr Jonathan Bright, for a discussion on the use of artificial intelligence in Whitehall.
The Government has made AI a key focus in recent months, with ministers pinning their hopes on the technology to improve public sector productivity and deliver better value for taxpayers - including the use of 'AI red boxes' to boost the productivity of ministers themselves. What are the opportunities for these technologies? And what have we learnt so far about how AI can be used to improve the way Whitehall works?
The panel will be chaired by CPS Head of Tech and Innovation Matthew Feeney and followed by a Q&A session. Other panelists to be announced shortly.
The event will take place on Thursday 11 January at iNHouse Communications, Kings Bldg, 16 Smith Square, London SW1P 3JJ. Doors will open at 13.45, with the event beginning at 14.00. Refreshments will be served.
