Darkroom Classes w/ Jackson Porter Hardin

Multiple dates and times CPW, 12401

CPW’s darkroom is now open! We offer darkroom rental, as well as classes for learning how to develop and print. We will offer these classes one Friday a month starting in June 2026. These three classes are structured to introduce participants to all the skills they'll need to continue working in the darkroom on their own. Students can sign up for one, two, or all three being offered.

Take all three in one day and enjoy 10% off!

TUITION: $180
MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT:
 2 per session
WHAT TO BRING: At least one previously developed roll/sheet/negative of b&w film. We also ask that students bring their own paper so they can learn directly on their desired paper type. We recommend: Fiber Paper, glossy (5x7, 8x10, or 11x14, but you can also bring RC paper if you prefer.
Fiber paper vs RC paper: Fiber-based (FB) paper is preferred for fine art, offering superior archival permanence, deeper blacks, and higher image quality. Conversely, RC paper is favored for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and durability.
