Platinum and Palladium prints are considered the zenith of alternative process printing. Two of the most precious metals on earth combine to create images with gorgeous tonal range, depth, and permanence. This hands-on workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to start making beautiful Platinum/Palladium prints on your own.
We’ll cover the process from start to finish, from creating digital negatives and mixing chemistry to coating paper and processing prints. Once familiar with the basics, we’ll explore creative techniques including contrast control, layering, and over-printing. Each student will have the opportunity to create up to six 8x10" prints. No prior alternative process or darkroom experience is necessary!
