HARVEST: A Longer Table

HARVEST: A Longer Table is a special one-day event bringing makers together to celebrate contemporary craft, share ideas and connect as a community.

Our event takes place in partnership with The Free Company, a regenerative farm who will prepare a very special seasonal farm-to-table Harvest lunch of organic, local produce served in a communal atmosphere at the foot of the Pentland hills.

Building on the success of HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair, we’ve chosen this date to present an exciting series of talks moderated by journalist and writer Debika Ray, complemented by workshops, tours and craft-related activities.

Tickets are £50 and include lunch and refreshments. 

Travel

A free shuttle bus will run between Haymarket train station and The Free Company, leaving at 9:15am and returning by 7:15pm. You will be asked to register for this when booking your ticket.

To help those travelling further to attend, we are offering 10 travel bursaries of up to £100 for makers needing support with travel costs. Depending on the uptake we may be able to supplement the initial bursary with any unspent funds after we have confirmed each recipient's needs.

If you would like to access one of the travel bursaries, please email elaine@craftscotland.org before Sunday 16th August. If your attendance is dependent on receiving a travel bursary, please still purchase a ticket and if we are not able to support you with your travel costs, we can offer a full refund of the ticket price.

Accessibility

There is level access to all programmed activities and there are accessible toilets. This event has been designed to be an informal and convivial environment. Throughout the day, participants are welcome to move freely around the venue and there will be indoor and outdoor quiet spaces, set out with reading material and mindful activities. There will also be regular breaks throughout the programme.

• Less than 2 weeks' notice prior to the date of the event: No refund*

*We will, however, do our best to fill your place and in this case issue a refund. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
