Join Us for a Weekend of Creativity, Community, and Sewing!

We’re planning a super exciting sewing weekend for 2026, and we’d love you to join us. Crafty Sewing Camp is a three-day event where guests can relive the magic of a classic school camp, reimagined for creative adults. Spend the weekend immersed in a friendly, supportive environment focused on connection, learning, and plenty of sewing. Sewing is at the heart of the weekend, with generous free-sewing time in well-equipped sewing rooms. Alongside this, there will be a range of short masterclasses and workshops available to book after purchasing your camp ticket, allowing you to tailor the experience to suit your interests. The event is organised by Freya and Sarah, and is designed to be welcoming, inspiring, and full of creative joy.

"(I enjoyed) being able to just sit and sew - no cooking, washing-up, laundry, emails etc. It was lovely to have the sewing room doors open to enjoy the fabulous weather. Meeting new people as well as spending time with my friends. The venue was wonderful, lots of overall space." - Camper from 2024

FAQ's

1. Do I need to bring my own sewing machine and supplies?
Yes, you will need to bring your equipment and projects to work on at the camp.  All sewing time outside of workshops is self-directed and you can bring what ever project you like.   You’ll also receive a list of recommended items to bring closer to the event.

2. What types of workshops and masterclasses will be offered?

Previous workshops have included hand embroidery, macrame, knicker making, rag rugging, HTV, button making, zipped pouch using a continuous zip, and more!  We are in the process planning the 2026 workshops, and attendees will receive information via email on how to book in Spring 2026.

3. Can I attend as a beginner?

Absolutely! The event is open to all sewing levels, from beginners to experienced sewists.  Bring a project you want to make and there will be plenty of support available from your peers in the sewing rooms.

4. Are meals provided for specific dietary requirements?

Yes, we offer a range of meal options to accommodate dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Please let us know your preferences and requirements when registering.

5. What is the cancellation policy?

Payment in full is required at booking; fees are non-refundable after a 24 hour cooling off period. Tickets are non-transferable unless a waiting list attendee is available or you are able to find someone to come in your place (admin fee applies).

6. Is there Wi-Fi available at the venue?

Wi-Fi is available at the venue, but it is not reliable.  The grounds have reasonable data coverage, and we encourage you to unplug and enjoy the in-person experience! We suggest printing or downloading any instructions or tutorials you may need to complete your projects.

7. Can I come alone, or do I need to attend with friends?

Come solo or with friends—either way, you’ll find a welcoming community at Crafty Sewing Camp. Our dorm setup and group activities are designed to help you make new friends.

8. What should I wear or bring for the weekend?

Comfortable, casual clothing is recommended, and since it’s a sewing-focused retreat, feel free to show off your handmade outfits! You’ll receive a packing list with additional suggestions before the event and we will announce the party theme in Spring 2025.

9. Is alcohol allowed at the event?

Yes, you are welcome to bring an alcoholic drink or two to enjoy over the weekend.  We only ask that you drink responsibly.

10. Are there any evening activities?
Yes! We have fun evening activities planned, including a trivia night and a themed party on the Saturday.  There will be time to socialise and unwind throughout the weekend.
