LET'S COOK WITH PURPOSE! (EAT TOO)

On June 12th, 2021, Crawfish Cookin' for a Cause, a 501c3 charitable organization supporting local families affected by catastrophic illness, will hold its tenth annual fundraising event. In 2020, thousands of members of the community turned out, drove through, ate crawfish, and made a difference. This year's worthy recipients are:

Project Red Light for Hope

Beth Crutcher Giacone is a 48 year old mother to 21 year old Joshua. She has suffered with a debilitating condition called ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) since her son was two years old. Beth is a native of Covington and graduated from Mandeville High in 1991. Project Red Light for Hope has helped Beth and her family with the financial burden this terrible disease has placed upon them, with round the clock care not covered by insurance, estimated to be $45,000 per year.

Grant's Gift Foundation

The Foundation's primary purpose is to provide a network of resources in order to improve the lives of individuals with special needs, with a primary focus on underprivileged and disabled children, so that they can grow and prosper in order to reach their fullest potential. Grant's Gift Foundation was formed by a group of friends who decided that they could make a difference in the lives of children with special needs in South Louisiana, specifically in St. Tammany Parish.

For 2021, we've set our goal to raise $50,000.
