Connecting Communities
Due to the generosity of the National Lottery we are delighted to offer Connecting Communities Sparksfusion sessions for our neurodivergent community which will run on the first Sunday of every month.
Sessions are free to attend , but must be pre booked.
Train time dependent we will meet either at Plymouth Railway Station or the Flat at the Athenaeum.
We will be exploring different destinations and forming links with our neurodivergent community in those areas. .
Times will vary dependent on trains but our core hours will be 10am - 4 pm.
Additionally we are delighted to have adopted Looe Railways Station to support so this group will run alongside a Friends of Looe Station subgroup.
Sessions will include:
- Train travel
- Exploration of destination
- Time for packed lunch
- Meeting and connecting with our neurodivergent community in each destination.
- The history of trains and how that links to the different destinations,
- Creative exploration of the world of trains using storytelling, drama and art.
- Neurodivergent, DBS checked, experienced leads
- Small groups
All our sessions have sensory and emotional wellbeing at their heart.
Please bring a packed lunch, and suitable clothing and footwear for outdoor exploration.
Let us know if you are also interested in joining our Friends of Looe Station group.
