Curious Horizons
Mental wellbeing sessions for neurodivergent young people aged 16 - 25 years
Curious Horizons is a fully funded group for neurodivergent young people aged 16 to 25 years.
Join us weekly for six weeks of gentle, creative, art-based therapeutic sessions, offering a safe and welcoming space to explore emotions and sensory regulations at your own pace.We know that coming to a new group can feel daunting, particularly when you’re already struggling!
You’re welcome to message, call or email first, meet us in person or online, or simply come along and see how it feels.
Have a cuppa. Draw. Chat. Or just sit with us.There’s no pressure to talk, join in or explain yourself.
Group size limited to six places
Our approach is non-intrusive and pressure-free – there is no expectation to talk, explain or share more than feels comfortable.
The six-week programme will be followed by a standalone music workshop, using music and creativity to explore emotions, self-expression and different ways we can support our own regulation.
A space to connect, create and simply be yourself.
Sessions will be jointly hosted by Rose and Jane.
Rose is our neurodivergent co founder and director. She has a lifetimes experience of neurodivergence, both privately and professionally. She is a former qualified teacher and Advanced Drawing and Talking Practitioner.
She also has training in Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, safeTALK Suicide Alertness, and grief and bereavement support through Winston’s Wish.
Jane is our autistic Director of Training, who has supported neurodivergent people of all ages as personal support, tutor and group organiser. She has completed a Masters in Autism (Adults) around sensory needs and employability and a PhD in alternatives to verbal communication, as well as completing training in eating disorders, psychosis and student safeguarding as a University teaching assistant.
