Creative Frame Artists Meetup

We would be delighted if you can join us at the next Creative Frame Artists Meetup that will be held in the Dock in Carrick On Shannon on Wednesday, April 2nd. These meetups are a great opportunity to informally meet other network members and talk about your work and current projects over a coffee.

In the meet up you can feel free to tell us about your practice, current projects you are involved in, supports you might need or any information you might like to share with your peers.

In the second half of the Meetup will hear from Creative Frame members, singer songwriter Ursula Connolly and theatre practitioner Treasa Nealon.

Over the past 18 month Ursula has been collaborating with a number of artists to create a song cycle inspired by Hans Christian Andersons fairy tales called ' Songs Through a Stained Glass Window' . Ursula will be talking to us about her experience of that collaboration and how she used the mentoring bursary to support her in the development of the project.

Theatre practitioner Treasa Nealon recently participated in the Irish Theatre Institutes Six in the Attic professional development programme. This key artist development programme provides artists with the space and resources to create and develop work. Treasa will be talking to us about SITA and the impact that this mentoring programme has had on her current work.

Creative Frame is a free membership network for artists and creative practitioners run by Leitrim County Council Arts Office. It aims to support any professional or emerging artist form any arts or design field that is making a living or a significant part of their living from their practice in any creative sector area such as visual arts, theatre, music, film, craft, design, architecture or product design.

Members must be from Leitrim or based in Leitrim, or based in the surrounding counties but providing services that benefit communities in Leitrim such as workshops, community projects or other similar activities. This is a Creative Frame membership event.
