Spaces and Places for Creatives in the City - A Symposium
Tue 11 Mar 2025 9:45 AM - 4:00 PM
Civic House, G4 9RH
Description
This day-long event is hosted by Creative Glasgow, and facilitated by freelance producer Helen Voce. It features a range of speakers exploring recent developments in the city infrastructure for artists’ and creatives’ workshops, studios, offices, practice, production and presentation spaces. It also brings together good practice from elsewhere in Scotland and further afield, and provides space for those working in Glasgow to think about how we can learn from other contexts.
Following the morning of presentations and discussions, a workshop will be held in the afternoon. This asks Creative Glasgow’s members to come together to think about (1) what kind of city we want to maintain and build together, (2) what our tangible and spatial needs are as a creative community, and (3) what Creative Glasgow’s role in that conversation might be going forwards. Creative Glasgow will document this workshop and share the results with its membership and relevant stakeholders in the conversation.
Tickets (£18 pp) include refreshments and lunch on the day. Payment should be made by bank transfer within 3 days to confirm your place - our bank details will be displayed on the confirmation page and within the confirmation email. If you have any queries, or require an invoice, please don't hesitate to get in touch - admin@creativeglasgow.co.uk
