Creative Glasgow x Glasgow 2026 Legacy Network - Summer Social

Creative Glasgow and the Glasgow 2026 Legacy Network are joining forces to host a special Summer social!

Join us for this FREE celebratory evening for networking between creatives, cultural organisations, and those involved in delivering and funding creative and cultural projects related to Glasgow's 2026 Commonwealth Games. We'll be profiling the important role the creative and cultural sectors are playing over the Summer, and thinking through how to work together effectively in the future.

Together we're marking one month to go to the Games with a chance to hear from some of those delivering Games-related creative and cultural activity in Glasgow and the surrounding area, an opportunity to engage with the legacy evaluation activity, network within the city's creative community, and begin to consider what appetite there is to sustain and deepen positive impacts from this work. We'll be exploring what collaboration opportunities and approaches might emerge from this initial legacy-focused social event.

We'll be serving food and non-alcoholic refreshments. Please note any dietary requirements when booking.

About the Event Partners

The Glasgow 2026 Legacy Network has been established to help secure a meaningful and lasting legacy from Glasgow 2026 by bringing organisations together to collaborate, share ideas, and develop projects that maximise the wider benefits and impact of the Games. Supported through funding from Spirit of 2012 and led by the University of the West of Scotland, the network brings together partners from across sport, creative and cultural sectors, and organisations working in areas including disability, health, equality, and community engagement from across Glasgow, Scotland, the UK, and the wider Commonwealth. The ambition is to move beyond short-term or isolated project outcomes and instead support a more strategic, sustainable, and community-focused approach to legacy development.

Creative Glasgow is a charitable membership organisation that works to connect, champion, and celebrate the creative practitioners working across the Greater Glasgow area. Membership is free and open to creative practitioners, artists, cultural organisations, and institutions - nearly 500 of you have joined us already. Each month we bring our members together to explore different creative and cultural venues and projects - facilitating knowledge exchange, mutual aid, and skills-sharing to develop.
