CKA Mixer: Small Acts of Walking (and Talking) | Small Acts

Sat 8 Feb 2025 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Art Centre Penryn, TR10 8EH

Small Acts will take participants on a playful and sociable walking tour of Penryn, visiting sites that have inspired the company’s relational arts practice - from a medieval proto-university to porous streets, pubs and productive community gardens.

Small Acts' studio is in Penryn. In fact, Penryn is their studio. Work destined for national and international audiences is often first developed here in community places. Ideas are trialled in shops, markets and pubs, as often as arts spaces.

Using their work as a catalyst for conversation and connection, Small Acts will offer participants a series of creative prompts and questions to explore with their walking companions, opening up informal discussion around each individuals practice and relationship to place.

The event will start with coffee, tea and introductions at Art Centre Penryn where the artists are currently developing the Church Records project in collaboration with Crow Architecture.
