Science Workshop: Creative Youth Summer Programme

Science Discovery Workshop

Delivered as part of the Stirling Council Holiday Programme and led by the Creative Stirling Youth Steering Group, this exciting workshop gives young people the chance to explore the world of science through fun, hands-on activities and experiments.

Participants will investigate different scientific concepts, take part in interactive challenges, and discover how science can be found in everyday life. From testing reactions and exploring forces to solving problems and making predictions, this session encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Designed to be engaging and accessible, the workshop provides a fun introduction to science while helping participants develop confidence in asking questions, exploring ideas, and learning through discovery.

Age: 8–14 years
Includes: Lunch provided by The Kitchen at 44, all materials, and hands-on science activities. We will get in touch before the event to find out your lunch choice and any allergies we should be aware of.

Creative Stirling’s Summer Programme is aimed at children, young people and families living in Mercat Cross, Stirling City Centre and other SIMD priority areas, with priority given to families in Mercat Cross where we have an established presence and strong local relationships. Places will also be offered to children and young people who may face financial, social or practical barriers to participation, including social isolation, caring responsibilities, additional support needs, or limited access to extracurricular opportunities.

Our approach is rooted in dignity, equity and inclusion, ensuring children and families can access support in ways that are welcoming, respectful and responsive to their needs.
