Southend Creatives Networking Event - The BIG Conversation

The BIG Conversation is back! Following on from our first event in June 2023, we are returning in October 2024 with this free event that aims to facilitate conversations between Southend's creative community, councillors and local political leaders. 

Southend Creatives (formerly Southend Creative and Culture Network) want to build a constructive dialogue around culture between the creative and cultural industries sector and local politicians, raising awareness about the breadth & depth of the cultural ecosystem in Southend and imagining future opportunities. 

WHO IS IT FOR?!

Our networking events are for people that live and/or work in any creative and cultural industry in Southend.

WHAT'S THE THEME?!

We have collated the discussions from our previous events and decided to focus on a theme this year. We want these evenings to provide real tangible steps to improving the creative and cultural landscape in Southend. The BIG Conversation 2024 will focus on SPACE

We all are aware about the lack of accessible, affordable and fit for purpose SPACE in Southend - but what can we do to change this?! Come along to add your thoughts!

7.40 -  8.00pm 5 x 1 minute Presentations from SPACE Case Studies

8.00 - 8.30pm Table Discussions (5 topics)

8.30 - 8.50pm Feedback to whole group + deciding next steps

8.50 - 9.00pm - Feedback forms and general networking
