Taking place in the heart of County Galway during the spectacular Gaillimh Ah-Boo! Festival, Creatures of Samhain is a 30-minute immersive multimedia exhibition experience that brings some of Ireland's most ancient and unsettling supernatural figures out of the old stories, and into the darkness around you.

This Samhain, The Haunted Manor invites you to descend beneath Galway and step through the portal into the darker realms of Irish folklore, myth and legend.

Journey through a series of atmospheric scenes combining theatrical sets, immersive atmosphere, audio storytelling, lighting, sound, and special effects and explore the legends of Ireland's darker supernatural past.

Hear their stories - Discover their warnings - Behold the ancient ones.

Come face-to-face with the beings our ancestors feared might be waiting when the boundary between our world and the Otherworld grew thin.

These are not the monsters of Hollywood.

These are older things.
Things whose names have almost disappeared from memory…

Their stories were told beside Irish fires long before Halloween became what it is today.

And on Samhain, the ancient night when tradition tells us the boundary between worlds is at its weakest, they are awakening once again.

Set within the atmospheric underground surroundings of DeBurgos, in the heart of Galway City, Creatures of Samhain blends Irish folklore with modern immersive entertainment to create something dark, theatrical, unsettling, occasionally terrifying - and distinctly Irish.

Explore the Underworld - Listen to the tales - But keep watching the darkness around you... as perhaps not everything beyond the portal is dormant.

The experience includes atmospheric darkness, immersive audio, theatrical and strobe lighting, special effects, frightening characters, sudden sounds and interactive moments.

This is an immersive and atmospheric horror exhibition experience. The emphasis is on atmosphere, storytelling, Irish mythology and bringing the ancient legends of Samhain to life - although you may encounter a few beings along the way that are considerably less interested in telling you a tale.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Please be aware that our underground venue is accessed via a steep staircase and does not have step-free or wheelchair access. Unfortunately, this means the venue may not be suitable or accessible for guests with significant mobility difficulties. Please take this into consideration before attending.
• Expect darkness, disturbing imagery, supernatural themes, theatrical scares, immersive audio storytelling, fog and atmospheric effects, sudden sounds, flashing and strobe lighting.
• This experience is not intended for young children. Parents and guardians should consider the nature of the experience carefully before purchasing tickets for younger guests.
• Access to The Afterlife Ticket type is for over-18s only. Valid photographic identification may be required.
• Drinks are not included with The Afterlife Ticket and must be purchased separately from the bar.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

By purchasing a ticket for Haunted Manor: Creatures of Samhain, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

• Timed Entry: Tickets are valid only for the date and time slot stated on your booking. Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled entry time.
• Late Arrival: Due to the timed nature of the experience and strictly limited capacity within each group, late admission cannot be guaranteed. Missed time slots will not be refunded.
• Ticket Transfers: Tickets cannot be transferred to a different date or time slot. Please check your chosen date and time carefully before completing your booking.
• Refunds: Tickets are non-refundable, except where the event is cancelled by Haunted Manor or where otherwise required by applicable law.
• Experience Duration: Creatures of Samhain is an approximately 30-minute timed experience. Guests are required to progress through and exit the main experience as directed by Haunted Manor staff.
• Limited Capacity: Admission numbers are strictly limited for each time slot. Guests may be admitted and moved through the experience in groups.
• Accessibility: The venue is an underground location accessed via a steep staircase. There is no lift, wheelchair access or step-free entrance. The experience may therefore be unsuitable for guests with significant mobility difficulties.
• Content Warning: The experience contains darkness, disturbing imagery, supernatural and horror themes, theatrical scares, frightening characters, immersive audio storytelling, sudden and loud sounds, fog and atmospheric effects, flashing lights and strobe lighting.
• Children: Creatures of Samhain is not intended for young children. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether the content is appropriate for any children or younger guests in their party.
• Supervision: Children and younger guests must remain under the supervision of their accompanying responsible adult while attending the event.
• Health & Sensory Considerations: Guests who may be adversely affected by strobe or flashing lighting, darkness, loud or sudden sounds, fog effects or intense theatrical environments should consider whether the experience is suitable for them before attending.
• Staff Instructions: Guests must follow all reasonable instructions given by Haunted Manor staff, performers, venue staff and event security, particularly instructions relating to safety, entry, movement through the experience and evacuation.
• Props & Performers: Guests must not deliberately touch, interfere with or damage performers, props, scenery, costumes, lighting, sound or technical equipment unless specifically invited to interact with something as part of the experience. 
• Damage: Guests may be held responsible for deliberate or reckless damage caused to the venue, sets, props, costumes or equipment.
• Behaviour: Abusive, threatening, aggressive, disruptive, dangerous or inappropriate behaviour towards staff, performers or other guests will not be tolerated.
• Intoxication: Haunted Manor reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any guest who appears excessively intoxicated or whose behaviour may present a risk to themselves, staff, performers or other guests. No refund will be provided where admission is refused or a guest is removed for these reasons.
• The Afterlife: Access to The Afterlife bar area is restricted to guests aged 18 years and over. Valid photographic identification may be requested.
• Alcohol: Drinks are not included in the ticket price and must be purchased separately from the venue bar. The service and sale of alcohol remains subject to the venue's licensing requirements and policies.
• Closing Time: All guests, including those with access to The Afterlife, must leave the venue by 11:00pm.
• Personal Belongings: Guests remain responsible for their own personal belongings while attending the event. Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuables into the experience.
• Photography & Recording: Photography, video recording or the use of flash lighting may be restricted within parts of the experience. Guests must follow instructions from staff regarding photography and recording.
• Safety & Operational Changes: Haunted Manor reserves the right to alter, temporarily suspend or remove individual scenes, performers, effects or elements of the experience where necessary for safety, technical, operational or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, without this constituting cancellation of the overall event.
• Right of Admission: Haunted Manor and the venue reserve the right of admission and may refuse entry or require a guest to leave where reasonably necessary for safety, security, licensing requirements or serious breaches of these conditions.
• Costumes, Masks & Costume Props: Festive and Halloween costumes are encouraged; however, full-face masks are not permitted within the event and must be removed before entry. Costume weapons, realistic imitation weapons, sharp objects, or any props considered dangerous or likely to cause injury, obstruction or alarm are also prohibited. Any such masks or props must be removed before entering the experience and may be left at the designated collection point for retrieval when exiting. Items are left at the owner's risk, and Haunted Manor cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to items left for collection. Haunted Manor reserves the right to refuse entry with any costume, mask or prop considered unsuitable or unsafe.
• Event Changes: Haunted Manor reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the event where necessary, including changes to individual scenes, performers, characters, effects, running order, technical elements or other aspects of the experience. Such changes may be made for operational, technical, safety, artistic or other reasonable purposes and will not normally constitute cancellation of the event.
• Cancellation, Postponement & Force Majeure: Haunted Manor may cancel, postpone, reschedule, suspend or make necessary changes to the event where circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent the event from operating safely or as planned. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, fire, flooding, power failure, utility or technical failure, public emergency, government or local authority restrictions, industrial action, venue closure or other events beyond our reasonable control. Where the event itself is cancelled, postponed or materially changed, ticket holders will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable and any refund, rescheduling or other remedy to which customers are legally entitled will be provided in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law.
• Liability: Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Irish law. Haunted Manor will take reasonable measures to provide and operate the experience safely. Guests remain responsible for following safety instructions, observing warnings provided before and during the experience and taking reasonable care for their own safety and that of others. Haunted Manor will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury resulting from a guest's failure to follow reasonable safety instructions, deliberate or reckless behaviour, misuse of the venue or experience, or circumstances outside Haunted Manor's reasonable control, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
• Personal Data & Privacy: Personal information provided when purchasing tickets will be processed for purposes connected with administering your booking, processing payment, communicating important information about the event and operating the event. Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Irish data protection legislation. Where third-party service providers, including our ticketing and payment providers, process information in connection with your booking, their applicable privacy terms may also apply. • Acceptance of Terms & Conditions: By completing your ticket purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Haunted Manor Terms & Conditions and that you understand the important information relating to timed admission, accessibility, age suitability, content and sensory warnings, refunds, prohibited items and expected standards of behaviour. The person making the booking is responsible for making the other members of their party aware of the relevant conditions before attending.
