The Asian Football Awards return on Tuesday 29 September 2026 for the sixth edition of one of the UK’s leading celebrations of South Asian excellence in football.

Launched in 2012, the Awards were created to recognise the people and organisations making a genuine impact across the game. From professional players, emerging talent and coaches to match officials, media professionals, grassroots clubs, fan groups, community organisations and those working behind the scenes, the Awards celebrate achievement at every level of football.

South Asians remain significantly underrepresented across many areas of the professional game. The Asian Football Awards provides an important platform to make those achievements visible, celebrate positive role models and inspire the next generation to believe that football has a place for them.

Over the years, the Awards have recognised some of the most influential South Asian figures in football, including Hamza Choudhury, Zidane Iqbal, Yan Dhanda, Reshmin Chowdhury, Sunny Singh Gill and Kira Rai.

The 2026 Awards are officially supported by The FA, the PFA, Pro Ref, Kick It Out, Fans for Diversity, Sporting Equals and SAFA. Sporting Equals joins us as the Official Charity Partner, while The Dad Project is supporting the event as the Official Mental Health Partner.

This year’s event will be hosted by Sky Sports presenter Dharmesh Sheth, who has been part of the Asian Football Awards journey since the inaugural event in 2012.

Taking place at The Clementine within the historic Syon Park estate in London, the evening will bring together leading figures from football, business, media and the wider community for a drinks reception, dinner, networking and the full awards ceremony.

The Clementine provides an outstanding setting, with impressive indoor and outdoor networking spaces and an atmosphere suited to one of the most important celebrations of South Asian achievement in the football calendar.
