Host and co-founder Fergus Mitchell talks all things Crossmylaff as he gets interviewed by writer and director Robert Wringham about ten years (nearly) of the Southside's BIG Saturday night of stand-up! If you're an aspiring promoter, a comedian curious to know how to get booked or just puzzled to know why there's always a song at the start you won't want to miss this! We'll have comedy guests and plenty of time for questions!
Who's On?
Fergus Mitchell is writer, former photographer and co-founder (with Andrew Ogilvie) of Crossmylaff Comedy. Seeking a path to comedy writing, Fergus signed up for Viv Gee's legendary stand-up evening class in 2016 and swiftly joined his fellow graduates in establishing Butcher's Choice, a monthly midweek comedy night, while gigging around Glasgow and Edinburgh. Spotting a need for quality comedy in Glasgow's Southside, Fergus and Andy set up Crossmylaff as a new, big night out at the wonderful Glad Cafe. Post-pandemic, Fergus has run the show solo.
Robert Wringham is a writer, editor, comedian, friend to the stars and most other things. Aside from his various published novels, Rob's book 'Melt It: The Book Of The Iceman' is now an excellent documentary featuring Stewart Lee, Jo Brand and Rob himself! You can read all about Rob here but suffice to say he's a brilliant, witty mind and we're absolutely delighted to have him join us!
