Mind the Gap is the final meeting in a series on the topic of transport and inequalities by the Scottish Parliament Cross Party Group on Sustainable Transport.
Following four evidence sessions on transport's intersection with poverty, age, gender inequality and disabilities, the meeting will hear from Group secretariat Transform Scotland and a panel of expert speakers from across the sector on the actions we must take to make Scotland's transport network work better for everyone.
We are also delighted to welcome Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Fiona Hyslop.
Transform will present a summary of the Group’s discussions on transport inequalities, along with policy recommendations for Government. This will be followed by a Q&A segment.
We’re welcoming a panel of expert speakers, including:
- Heather Williams (Scottish Women’s Budget Group)
- Lyn Pornaro (Disability Equality Scotland)
- Margaret Douglas (Public Health Scotland)
- David McGilp MSYP & Islay Jackson MSYP (Scottish Youth Parliament)
Please note: this event will be hybrid (in-person in the Scottish Parliament's Fleming Room, or online via Teams).
