White supremacy ideology is perhaps the greatest barrier to achieving socio-political, economic, cultural, and ecological sustainability in the USA. It is critically important that community and institutional leaders grasp the widespread constancy of white supremacy ideology; their conditioned investment in the ideology, and begin to imagine how to collaborate with others to dismantle it. • A deep dive into white supremacy ideology paying particular attention to how it features dominantly in US culture
• An intersectional exploration of the ways this ideology operates dominantly resulting in the cooptation of systems, institutions, and the people that populate them
• Tools and practices to assess & disrupt how the values and ways of being of white supremacy ideology operate their institutions

PREREQUISITE LEARNING:

We strongly recommend that participants have previous experience engaging with Crossroads' analysis of systemic racism by having participated in one or more of the following:

• an Introduction to Systemic Racism workshop (digital or in-person)
• an Introduction to Antiracism workshop (digital or in-person)
• the former Understanding and Analyzing Systemic Racism workshop (pre-pandemic in-person), or
• the webinar - Beyond Diversity: How to Build a Truly Anti-Racist Organization
  

If participants have not experienced any of the above, we recommend renting the webinar before the start of the workshop.

PRICING:

If you are authorized by your institution to attend the workshop, they are paying your registration, and your institutional budget is greater than $2 million, the price of the workshop is $200 per person. Crossroads has set the value of the workshop at $100 for individuals attending and paying out of their own pocket; recognizing that price can be a barrier to attendance, we invite you to pay what is appropriate for you. In order to ensure confidentiality all participants must register even if you are selecting the $0 registration price. Previous participation is Crossroads workshops does not grant guest, un-registered or unpaid access to Crossroads digital workshops.

Each organization/institution is limited to 6 participants per event.

ACCESSING THE WORKSHOP:

All participants must have a registered Zoom account to ensure security and confidentiality of the space. In order to access the full functions of Zoom and our shared workspaces, we highly recommend joining the meeting from a laptop or desktop computer. Accessing the workshop through a tablet or phone will limit your ability to interact with the fullness of the experience.

TIMING CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE REGISTERING:

Participants will not be granted access into the workshop after the Courageous Space Agreement, which is generally concluded in the first 30 minutes. Full day workshops include a 90-minute lunch break, as well as breaks to stretch and take care of yourself every hour.

All workshop participants are expected to attend the complete workshop from beginning to end, going "in and out" of the workshop space is not permitted. We are happy to make reasonable accommodations as folks work remotely and manage technical issues However, if facilitators perceive continued disengagement that is not communicated, the participant will be dropped and not allowed to re-enter.
