Simplicity. A calm mind and heart. Space and energy for what matters.
Buddhist ideals sound great, but how do you follow them in a busy life and a complex world? It would be helpful to have a book written about this, and even better would be to hear from the author of that book…
Twenty years ago, Vajragupta published his first book “Buddhism: Tools for Living Your Life." He introduces his readers to simple Buddhist teachings and practices for daily living. It became one of the publisher's all-time bestsellers and is still in print.
In this four-week series Vajragupta will be sharing his latest reflections and advice on how Buddhist teachings can be applied in the nitty-gritty of everyday life. Expect practical Buddhist teachings from an experienced Dharma teacher, meditation, and discussion amongst like-minded people.
Who is this course for?
The course is aimed at anyone curious about how Buddhist teachings can change how you live your life. Maybe you’re a newcomer to Croydon Buddhist Centre, or maybe you attended during the “Big Urban Retreat” and you want to find out more… either way, you’re welcome!
Costs
All our Buddhism and meditation courses are on a donation basis — there’s no fixed fee. Your contribution supports the running of the Centre and helps keep the teachings available to everyone. For this course, we suggest a donation of £80 (waged) or £50 (unwaged), but please give what you can—more if you're able, less if you need to (you can amend the donation amount as you wish when you sign up). Everyone is welcome, regardless of what they can afford. Please note that all donations are non-refundable.
