welcome; by donation. Suggested donation £100/80.
We are
deeply connected to everything around us. When things are difficult
in the world, we feel it intensely. In an unstable world, it's easy
to feel overwhelmed, powerless and insignificant.
But our
deep connection to the world around us is also our greatest strength.
The Buddha's great discovery was that by working on our own minds,
and helping others to do the same, we can have a radical effect on
other people, and on the world around us.
This
course will offer a practical guide to changing the world. We'll be
applying key Buddhist principles to show how - whatever is happening
around us - we can take action to seed change, helping to bring
into being a world of joy, meaning and harmony. It will include
meditation, practical exercises, community-building, and an
exploration of how to meet political, economic and social turmoil
with wisdom and compassion.
All
welcome; especially suitable as your first introduction to Buddhism
and/or meditation.
We're priceless! All our classes offering Buddhist teaching are by donation, because we believe that the Buddha's teachings should be freely given. We recommend a donation of £100/£80 for this course, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
