‘Inside the play-ground an absolute and peculiar order reigns... Into an imperfect world and into the confusion of life it brings a temporary, a limited perfection.’ Johan Huizinga
Join us for the first Croydon Sub 35’s weekend retreat at the glorious Rivendell! We will be exploring the theme of Play; what this means to us and how, as Buddhists, we can be playful in our ethical and meditative lives. Clem and Kit will lead a weekend of reflection and practice, drawing on the immense joy that can be found in the Dharma. Finding the ability to move towards a happier, more playful, liberated form of being; discovering the play of the Awakened mind - 'Lila'
We will be doing yoga, drawing, dancing and ritual together, seeing if we can not only express our playful nature more fully but also loosen into a view that holds the task of living as play. This will be a wonderful time to come together as a Sangha and celebrate our lives together.
This retreat is open to all people under 35 of any level of experience with meditation or Buddhism. The price is £125 and includes accommodation (in simple shared rooms), good vegan food, and all the teaching. If this is too much, please do get in touch with us - we have a few bursary places available. We don't want lack of money to prevent anyone coming on retreat. Please note, the price includes a £50 non-refundable deposit.
