Modern life can be frenetic, and it's easy to lose connection with our deeper energies and inspiration. We can feel as if we're running on empty, so we start craving experiences and things to fill the gap. Maybe we manage to distract ourselves like this for a while, but soon life feels empty and unsatisfying again. So the cycle of craving rolls on...
Join us for six weeks exploring Buddhist teachings and practices that help us stay connected to genuine pleasure, happiness, and contentment. The Buddha taught that - even amidst chaos, overstimulation and uncertainty - we can find stillness and contentment. This might not be easy, but it can be done with training and practice!
This course will be offered on two levels. One group will be for newcomers, or those who are fairly new. Another group will be for regular and experienced attendees at the Centre. When you book you'll be asked to choose which group you'd like to join. Also, as part of the course, we're going to ask you to meditate 45 minutes each day - please consider if you are able to commit to this before you book.
Please note, there will be a break for the Buddha Day Festival on 13th May.
We recommend a donation of £80 / £60, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
Dana Economy. All our course offering Buddhist teaching are by donation, because we believe that the Buddha's teachings should be freely given. We recommend a donation of £80 / £60 for this course, but we welcome you however much you can afford to give.
