Webinar: Children and Young People - Loss and Bereavement Awareness

Supporting someone who is bereaved can be hard especially if it is a child or young person, so we have worked with our expert trainers to create a bereavement training webinar specifically for those that work or come into contact with children and young people. This webinar will give you the skills and confidence in dealing with issues surrounding bereavement and grief and how to communicate and support children and young people going through this.

Cost: £75 per person (£62.50 ex VAT). Webinars run for up to 2.5 hours with a 15-minute break, and participants are capped at 10 to encourage interaction and discussion.

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

• Have a greater understanding of grief
• Reflected on the grieving process and gained an understanding of current models that help to understand grief and bereavement
• Be introduced to some modern models which help explain how people react to grief and loss
• Be able identify common grief responses
• Be able to assess an individual’s needs and start to provide effective support
• Be aware of complicated grief
• Understand the importance and value of self care
