Decolonized Beatz: Indigenous World Pride 2025
Celebrating Indigiqueer Creativity on a Global Stage
May 30 & June 1, 2025 | Piscataway Land (Washington, D.C.)
Crushing Colonialism invites you to Decolonized Beatz: Indigenous World Pride 2025—a two-day global event, celebrating the powerful creativity of 2SLGBTQIA+ Indigenous artists, performers, and storytellers. Set to take place on May 30 and June 1, 2025 in Piscataway Land (“Washington, D.C.”), DBIWP coincides with World Pride and amplifies the voices of Indigenous Queer and Two-Spirit people on a global stage.
What to Expect
For too long, Indigenous voices have been sidelined in global celebrations. Decolonized Beatz is about shifting that narrative. Through performance, dialogue, and connection, this event celebrates the full spectrum of Indigiqueer identity, joy, resistance, and art.
The two-day experience features:
-
Live music, poetry, and performance
-
Indigiqueer youth film screenings and storytelling
-
Conversations on Indigeneity, gender, sexuality, and media
-
Indigenous pop-up market
-
The Medicine Bundle – public health resources rooted in community care
-
A high-energy dance party to close it out
