Description
Federal Entrepreneurship Programs & Non-Dilutive Grant Opportunities for Innovative Startups
Translate Research, Commercialize Products, Deliver Impact – Your IP. Zero Equity. No Loans Payback.
Join this IAP session to learn about federal programs supporting the translation of leading edge research and success of new science and technology startups, including programs and opportunities from NSF, NIH, DoE, DoD, and other agencies.
The session will include a special focus on National Science Foundation programs and funding to help you translate your research towards commercialization (PFI), gain exposure to the skills and tools to succeed (Spark/Fusion), explore customer needs and market opportunities (I-Corps), and support the prototype development and development of your ideas (SBIR/STTR). NSF programs are extremely founder friendly, with total funding of up to $2M over 36+ months.
The programs and funding opportunities to be discussed help startups create the next game-changing technologies — often based on fundamental science or engineering. They support research and development to create new products, services, and other scalable solutions delivered by startup businesses. The projects funded must have the potential to positively benefit society and to lead to significant outcomes in the commercial market. Most of the startups these programs fund have fewer than five employees, are recently formed and haven't received funding from the government before.
Register today to learn more about getting started, including information on qualifications, enrollment, applications, and resources available to you to move forward today. An informal panel of student and post-doc entrepreneurs who have completed programs and/or successfully received funding will be available to share their experience and perspectives.
