Did you think Café René had closed for good? Well we're delighted to say Café René will be "Ouvert" once more, with a completely new show, never performed before by Culter Theatre Club: ’Allo ’Allo 2 - The Camembert Caper.
Based once more on the hugely successful British television series fronted by the late great Gorden Kaye, this uproarious comedy relates the adventures of our hapless café owner in occupied France taking place after the disastrous incident with the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies. The British Airmen are still in hiding, and this time the resistance have a new plot - with Cheeses!
Many of your favourite characters return once more but this time with some much loved characters not seen in the last show, including Madame Fanny (Edith's mother), Captain Geering ("’tler!"), and Monsieur Alphonse!
A hilarious night's entertainment awaits - it will be café style table seating and you can bring your own drinks and snacks (a few light nibbles will be provided in the interval). Please note that generally this show is for adults aged 18+, however children aged 16 or over may attend if accompanied by an adult.
Bookings will be allocated to table seating by our front of house team and will be pre-set for your arrival. If you're meeting people, please let us know their names on the booking form and we'll try to seat you together or close by, although this is subject to availability. Please be aware that this show is set in France during World War II, and as such will include characters, imagery and language from that period.
