Introduction to culture and climate action
Introduction to culture and climate action
Need help?
This monthly online workshop will introduce artists and cultural organisations to environmental action and climate justice, and the many ways you can approach it including mitigation, adaptation and using your influence.
We will give you a background to Culture for Climate Scotland and show you how to take your first steps to tackle your carbon emissions, adapt to the impacts of climate change and use your influence towards audiences and communities.
We will demonstrate some examples of creative climate action through our case studies, and there will also be an opportunity to ask us any questions you may have about starting your sustainability journey. The content across all Starting Point workshops will be the same.
The workshop will take place on:
Tuesday 24 June 14:00 - 15:00
Tuesday 22 July 14:00 - 15:00
Thursday 21 August 13:00 - 14:00
Monday 29 September 14:00 - 15:00
Thursday 23 October 13:00 - 14:00
Thursday 20 November 13:00 - 14:00
Thursday 11 December 14:00 - 15:00
This session will be helpful to those new to culture and climate action, and for those wanting to apply for funding that requires applicants to demonstrate their environmental commitments.
The workshops will all take place on Zoom.
Do you need support to attend?
Everyone is welcome at our events.
We know that it’s sometimes difficult for everyone to attend because of unintended barriers. We want to make any necessary adjustments to our events so that no one is excluded. These adjustments will, most likely, differ from event to event so we need your help to get it right. Please inform us of your accessibility requirements for this event during the Eventbrite registration process or get in touch by email sarah.ohare@cultureforclimate.scot if you would like to provide more information or ask any questions.
