The St. Johns sessions with Cronin and special quests Steve Wickham and Seamus Ong

Cronin return to Longford town on Culture night for their most ambitious Irish gig to date.

The Midlands band will be joined for one night only by Irish music legend Steve Wickham (The Waterboys).

Steve Wickham needs no introduction in music circles with his acclaimed work with The Waterboys plying on such timeless hits as Fishermans Blues and The Whole of the Moon and was a founding member of In Tua Nua and played violin on the classic U2 song "Sunday Bloody Sunday", as well as recordings by Elvis Costello, the Hothouse Flowers, Sinéad O'Connor, and World Party.

Wickham plays both rock and roll and traditional Irish music and has developed a rock music technique for violin he calls the "fuzz fiddle".

The special event with see Cronin reworking material from both the Cronin and The Aftermath back catalogue along with some surprises.
