Worker Protection Act Compliance Training
On 26th October 2024, all employers are required by law to take reasonable steps to prevent the sexual harassment of employees, in accordance with the Worker Protection Act 2023, an amendment to the Equality Act 2010. How are you acting to take reasonable steps to prevent the sexual harassment of your employees?
Join us for this half day training session, in which you will learn about how to effectively prevent sexual harassment in the workplace, and grow your knowledge of the steps you can take to become compliant with the new requirements of employers under the Worker Protection Act 2023.
Our training will cover:
What is sexual harassment in the workplace? What is the Worker Protection Act? Why is sexual harassment a problem for the workplace?
The importance of understanding your workplace culture surrounding sexual harassment, and how you can do this effectively, including risk assessments
How to communicate with your employees about sexual harassment in the workplace
Building ‘internal infrastructure’ to prevent sexual harassment- anti-harassment policy and processes
Reporting and responding to sexual harassment in the workplace as a tool of prevention
Fostering a speak up culture in your workplace in relation to sexual harassment
Our training has been informed by the technical guidance published by the Equality & Human Rights Commission, and has been reviewed by the Fawcett Society, experts in preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.
